Nomination Requirements

Before you nominate a site, please read this page thoroughly.

General Requirements

Primary (must meet all of these)

If your site wins, it will in many ways represent the Drupal community. Sites not meeting the following minimum standards will not be approved as a nominee:

  • It must fit into the category for which it was nominated. If not, a site may be moved to another category by the nominating committee.
  • It must have been launched between Jan 1, 2011 and Feb 15, 2012. Launched means that it was first made public in its current form.
  • It must be primarily Drupal. Integration with other tools is acceptable as long as Drupal is the primary tool used.
  • The nomination and subsequent publicity must be accepted in writing (email is ok) from the owner or representative of the website to be considered as a finalist.
  • It must currently be accessible to the public.
  • It must function in most modern desktop browsers.
  • It must not include hate, pornography, gambling, defamation, or any other generally objectionable material.
  • It must not be obviously spam or poorly implemented. Final determination will be determined by the Nominating Committee.

Objective considerations

These will be evaluated by the Nominating Committee when choosing finalists.

  • Drupal Innovation
  • Use of Drupal Best Practices
  • Content
  • Structure and Navigation
  • Visual Design
  • Functionality
  • Overall Experience

Emphasis will be given to Drupal Innovation (how well the website utilizes Drupal's unique capabilities or pushes the envelope) and Use of Drupal Best Practices (Is it a good example of what can be done with Drupal?).

Categories

As you are choosing a category for your nomination, please make sure that the site matches the definitions below:
