What categories are considered for awards?

The 2012 Blue Drop Awards categories are:

Drupal Website of the Year

Drupal Website of the Year is not nominated directly, but is selected by voters from all finalists. Each voter will be asked to designate one site on their ballot from any category to receive their Drupal Site of the Year vote. The site with the most votes wins.

Best Enterprise Website Built with Drupal

Nominees for Best Enterprise Website Built with Drupal represent Drupal implementations in government, healthcare, and large businesses (500+ employees). Nominations can be for either the entity's primary website or a secondary website. All nominated websites must have been launched between January 1, 2011 and February 15, 2012.

Best Business Website Built with Drupal

Nominees for Best Business Website Built with Drupal represent Drupal implementations in small to medium-sized, for-profit business ventures (less than 500 employees).  Nominations can be for either the entity's primary website or a secondary website. All nominated websites must have been launched between January 1, 2011 and February 15, 2012.

Best Marketplace Website Built with Drupal

Nominees for Best Marketplace Website Built with Drupal represent Drupal implementations that are eCommerce, eBusiness, or marketplace in nature regardless of the particular business model used. This would include B2B, B2C, C2B and C2C, and mobile commerce websites. All nominated websites must have been launched between January 1, 2011 and February 15, 2012.

Best Social Website Built with Drupal

Nominees for Best Social Website Built with Drupal represent implementations of Drupal that are primarily social or community-driven in nature. All nominated websites must have been launched between January 1, 2011 and February 15, 2012.

Best Non-Profit/Education Website Built with Drupal

Nominees for Best Non-Profit/Education Website Built with Drupal represent Drupal implementations for educational and scientific institutions as well as non-profit businesses. All nominated websites must have been launched between January 1, 2011 and February 15, 2012.

Best Media Website Built with Drupal

Nominees for Best Media Website Built with Drupal represent Drupal implementations for media or entertainment industry websites. These could include websites for print or electronic magazine, music, film, podcasting, broadcasting, news, mass communications, etc. All nominated websites must have been launched between January 1, 2011 and February 15, 2012.

Best Personal Website Built with Drupal

Nominees for Best Personal Website Built with Drupal represent Drupal implementations for personal, non-business websites. This might be a personal blog, podcast, resume, etc., but the website must be owned and operated by an individual for primarily non-commercial purposes. All nominated websites must have been launched between January 1, 2011 and February 15, 2012.

Best Interesting Website Built with Drupal

Nominees for Best Interesting Website Built with Drupal is a catch-all for Drupal websites that do not fit in any other category. It might be truly bizarre, off-the-wall or just plain fun. All nominated websites must have been launched between January 1, 2011 and February 15, 2012.
