FlameOz, Calvos and Halo

This is a group of 3 sites for 3 perfomance shows. FlameOz is a pyrotechnic dance show, Calvos is a serene crystal ball and stilt walking act, and Halo is a high tech glow show.

For this site build we decided to separate the 3 shows onto 3 domains, the home page for each allows you to view the other shows but the main site for each is entirely themed to promote the individual Act.

A huge amount of attention was focused on the graphic look and feel of the sites, so it has a really healthy mix of technical drupal backend with beautifully crafted front end.

TIME For Kids, Homework Helper

In Spring 2011 TIME, Inc. engaged Zivtech to rebuild the ‘Homework Helper’ section of the TIME for Kids website. The project presented several challenges, including strict Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act compliance (COPPA) and significant front-end usability testing with children.

Civic Commons

Civic Commons, a project of Code for America, is a marketplace for open innovation in government, currently tracking 509 apps in 158 cities. Think of it like Techcrunch but for government software, or a community-driven civic app store: the Marketplace project fosters the creation and growth of a community of civic technologists sharing not only information about the applications they use and their experiences with them, but also the very application code. By connecting the nation’s best civic innovators, we stimulate better IT decision making and the reuse of civic code across the world.

JimmyPage.com

JimmyPage.com - the first official website of the legendary guitarist and Led Zeppelin founder - deserves to win this award because it is the coolest Drupal-built music artist website on the internet.

The server-melting launch in July 2011 marked a new milestone in Jimmy Page's extraordinary career; with JimmyPage.com chronicling his rich history in music and unlocking the vaults for the first time ever.

The all-encompassing Live, Photos and Discography sections of the website span a whole host of eras, from Jimmy's early work in the 1960s as a session musician for the likes of The Rolling
