Studio Daniel Libeskind

Drupal Version:
This website looks great on mobile devices!
Why does this website deserve to win?:
Todd Linkner and Joe Marianek designed a new website for the international architecture firm, Studio Daniel Libeskind. Libeskind's work includes Jewish Museum in Berlin, the Denver Art Museum, and the master plan for the reconstruction of the World Trade Center site. The designers worked closely with Studio Daniel Libeskind to create a site that challenges the conventions of form of a website. The content is organized in a single horizontal line including representative photos of all states of a project’s life cycle, from staff working in the studio to drawings and renderings, to construction shots and completed projects. A video by the award-winning director, Hillman Curtis, serves as the opening to the site. The site was built on a breakneck schedule by Agaric.
Website Launch Date:
Wednesday, November 30, 2011
How It Was Done (optional):
In addition to the public facing site, Agaric added a lot of unique back-of house features to help the public relations staff automate the process of responding to and approving requests for press information and high-resolution images. The site also has auto-generated PDFs, a mobile theme for smartphones, touch events for the iPad and tablets, and uses Varnish Cache to boost performance.
